Community Compost Club celebrates sieve - 3rd July '09
The Community Composting Club in Wellow has taken delivery of a giant sieve for removing sticks, large lumps and aerating the compost (thereby removing the need to shred before the material goes in), which has been paid for using the new “Ward Councillor Initiative Fund” from B&NES Council.

Radical rethink of economic spending plans needed - 1st July '09
Local Lib Dem Gail Coleshill calls on both Labour and Conservative politicians to be more honest about their spending plans. Labour has said they will not be conducting a public spending review until after a General Election. Conservatives also do not have a clear strategy for their spending plans.

Party in the Park tickets on sale! - 20th June '09

With only four weeks to go, tickets have now gone on sale for Peasedown St John’s Party in the Park event.

The B&NES Council event, which is due to take place on July 18th, has kept organisers busy since last September with preparations and arrangements.

Bus Lane to Nowhere - 6th June '09

B&NES Conservatives are congratulating themselves on spending £916,000 on a brand-spanking new bus lane but North East Somerset Liberal Democrats say it’s going nowhere.

Cllr Nathan Hartley and future Parliamentary representative Gail Coleshill travel the A367 route regularly and have personal experience of the traffic build up to the Odd Down Roundabout which continues down the Wellsway and through Bear Flat.
