Senior Conservative dismisses plea for help from Peasedown residents - 13th Sep '09 |

Lib Dem Councillors in Peasedown St John have criticised a decision by Conservative-run B&NES Council not to gate-off a path that has caused residents to experience anti-social behaviour and petty crime for a number of years.
Residents living in Morgan Way, Peasedown St John have been the victims of persistent anti-social behaviour as a result of the location of an unlit path behind their homes.
Cllrs Hartley and Bevan outside the Guildhall, Bath, with a copy of the Community Safety Plan which makes no reference to Gating Orders or the plight of Morgan Way residents in Peasedown St John.

B&NES Council rejects Bristol airport expansion - 11th Sep '09 |

Bath and North East Somerset Council’s planning committee has opposed the expansion of Bristol International Airport at its meeting this week. This follows the similar position adopted by Bristol Council last month. The application is to be determined by North Somerset Council, but B&NES has is a consultee on the application.

Lib Dems launch 'Radstock Town Council' campaign - 1st Sep '09 |

After Midsomer Norton and Westfield, Radstock is the latest local town to want a separate Council. People living in Radstock believe that separating the Councils will lead to more efficient and better representation for residents.
Local Lib Dem campaigner Tim Bray has asked Parliamentary representative Gail Coleshill to help find out whether there are enough people in the area would would like a Community Governance Review.
